After Mass, I went to go eat at Brent’s Deli in Northridge for brunch. If you are ever in the San Fernando Valley and hungry, you gotta check this place out. It is probably one of the best deli’s in Los Angeles. If you don’t believe me, check out the reviews at Yelp, Zagat, and Urbanspoon.

Expect to pay around $15 to $20 but you get what you paid for…

I went to church this morning for the second time this weekend. I also went to church last night which was really long. Last night, I brushed off the kids trying to sell me an Easter Egg basket. Today, I got suckered into buying one.

Until I visited, Bushnell had never taken a reporter to his company’s headquarters, probably with good reason. UWink occupies two little suites in a dun-colored cinder-block edifice surrounded by check-cashing stores and fast-food spots. There’s no receptionist or even a lobby to greet visitors — just a cluttered workshop full of computer equipment. Because Bushnell typically meets with visitors at one of the company’s three restaurants, he’s never bothered to keep things presentable. “It’s about as low class as you can get,” Bushnell says. “But who cares? It’s cheap, and my ego doesn’t need it. I don’t think we’d sell one more hamburger if we were on the fifth floor of some office tower.”
Max Chafkin. “The Gamer” INC. April 2009: 116
I’ve seen crappy offices of very successful businesses and beautiful offices of very crappy businesses. I wouldn’t call uWink a successful business but Bushnell’s last quote makes a lot of sense. “But who cares? It’s cheap, and my ego doesn’t need it. I don’t think we’d sell one more hamburger if we were on the fifth floor of some office tower.” I’ve seen people set up offices for businesses that could have been just set up in their bedroom. Why do they do it? Like Bushnell mentioned, probably for their own egos.
Last night, I went to Dodger stadium to cheer on Korea for the World Baseball Classic Championship against their arch rival, Japan. It was a game many Koreans and Japanese people couldn’t miss. The rivalry between these two teams is beyond just sports. It stems from the historical and political relationship between these two countries during and after Japan’s Imperialism in Korea.
It is a rivalry many people outside of the two countries are not familiar with but I hope many people were able to experience at Dodger Stadium or through their TV sets on Monday evening. If you didn’t, you really missed out on a great baseball game. Even though Korea lost to Japan, it was one of the best game I’ve ever been to in my life and it is hard to believe I will experience any better. The fans from both countries pour their hearts out for their country. Even with the bad blood between the two nations, the fans kept it clean and friendly. Throughout the game, fans from both nations were joking and laughing with each other. This is what sports is all about. Continue reading →

Going to the World Baseball Classic Semis at Dodger Stadium, Korea vs Venezuela. Looking forward to an exciting game. The weather isn’t too great this afternoon and there are chances of rain tonight, but I must go support my motherland. I really hope it is a sellout crowd with people from both countries. The U.S. should tune in to see what this means to the rest of the world and how exciting it is to support your country. It is disappointing how the U.S. don’t care about international competition, especially now that they are no longer considered the best. Losing at your own sport? Have some pride. Step up.
I’m tired this morning from staying up late to watch Korea’s World Baseball Classic game against Japan.

Victory is sweet.
Go Korea!
Most likely will attend the semifinals game at Dodgers Stadium. Anyone else going?
Go Korea!

Miley Cyrus:
“I’m like, these are the people I really want to meet, I’d freak out. They’re my rock gods. These are the only people that I would cry over… My manager asked and said, ‘Miley’s really obsessed. And they were like, ‘We don’t really do that.’ I left (early) ’cause I was so upset, I wasn’t going to watch. Stinkin’ Radiohead! I’m gonna ruin them, I’m going to tell everyone”
Radiohead:
“When Miley grows up, she’ll learn not to have such a sense of entitlement”
Ouch.
I love Radiohead.
Managed to get my hands on some great tickets for today’s Lakers vs Mavs game. The seats were great but I couldn’t catch all of the action with people jumping up and down every time the Lakers scored.

I wasn’t complaining.
