Some Dessert at Nickel Diner

Dessert at Nickel Diner. Ordered bacon topped donut (strange) and red velvet cake (delicious). Cool little spot in Downtown LA.

I was taking picture of the restaurant, not the girls. Honest.
It is great to see Korean-American businesses like Kogi succeed but I’m not waiting in line for an hour just for a damn taco that probably isn’t much better than this…

My friends and I made this on Saturday while watching the Laker game. We made it with some bulgogi from the local Korean market over tortilla with cilantro, onions, cilantro, and Tapatio. It costs less than $30 to feed 9 people 3 tacos each.
One day I’m gonna have to try Kogi to see what all the hype is about but until the line gets shorter I’m fine with our homemade Korean tacos.
Went to eat a Kravings @ 18633 Ventura Blvd. Encino, CA 91356 for my friend’s birthday.

This is a picture of my plate from the salad bar…

The waiters come around with different variety of meats like your typical Brazilian BBQ place but this restaurant had a wider variety. At most Brazilian BBQ restaurants, I remember eating the same meat two or three times. At Kravings, I don’t think I ate the same meat twice. The quality wasn’t bad either.
I was busy eating so I wasn’t able to take a picture. :(
The decor was also pretty impressive. It probably was probably the nicest looking Brazilian BBQ I’ve been to so far. I personally wouldn’t take a girl to an all-you-can-eat BBQ for a date but if that’s your thing, this is a great spot.
The price is pretty similar to other similar restaurants. All-you-can-eat salad bar and bbq including champagne for $30 on Saturday afternoons. Not bad.
After Mass, I went to go eat at Brent’s Deli in Northridge for brunch. If you are ever in the San Fernando Valley and hungry, you gotta check this place out. It is probably one of the best deli’s in Los Angeles. If you don’t believe me, check out the reviews at Yelp, Zagat, and Urbanspoon.

Expect to pay around $15 to $20 but you get what you paid for…
